Trying to make a difference in this world!
Poverty is absolutely a POLICY choice. It is unconscionable that this still happens in America, the richest nation in the world. We can and must do better.
🎯💯
I don't see the government bailing me out of homelessness, which was a result of getting sick and because I like millions of others aren't paid a living wage, im now on the street. When they bail us all out then they can consider bailing out the wealthy of a small comparative loss.

Barely legal would be.....18 and legal! WTF?! Keep your dirty old man fantasies away from our teen girls!
"I'm definitely not trying to make an excuse for this...." Proceeds to excuse it.

The only thing Senate Democrats should be agreeing to is an extension of the enhanced premium tax credits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for millions of Americans buying plans on the health exchanges and releasing the Trump-Epstein files.

The current GOP lie is that they’re going to replace Obamacare with something better.

Bullshit. In all of the majorities they’ve had since Obamacare passed, they’ve never once tried to replace it.

They’ve tried to repeal it a whole bunch, but never actually make it better.

This is obscene!!!

Trump throws another extravagant party at Mar-a-Lago while thousands, including government workers, line up at food banks during the shutdown— while he’s still fighting to block SNAP funding while kids go hungry.

Literally a tale of two Americas.

Who benefits from 50 year mortgages: banks, developers, realtors, estate lawyers.

Who gets screwed: everyone else.

A 50-year mortgage to solve the fact that no one can buy a home seems like the kind of idea a man who bankrupted a bunch of casinos would come up with.

Trump‘s brilliant plan of 50 year mortgages means that after your first 20 years making huge interest payments to a bank you will have paid down almost none of the principal and they will still own the house you are living in with 30 years to go. A scam from a career con man.

Senate Dems, do not cave. Ensuring healthcare premiums don’t surge is an 80-20 issue. They want to gut the ACA because their disdain for Obama far outweighs their concern for anyone’s health.

Do we need to improve the ACA? YES!

Do the Republicans have a plan? Absolutely not!

ACA was signed into law in 2010 (effective 2014).

They only watch to bitch about it, so the least Congress could do right now is extend subsidies to try to control costs for everyone who relies on ACA coverage.
Rachel Maddow warns: if Republicans let ACA subsidies expire, millions will face massive premium spikes. A WV couple’s plan could jump from $300 to $4,700 a month. The #GOPHealthCareShutdown isn’t fiscal discipline—it’s a war on working families’ health and wallets.

How sad is it that the richest country on Earth has a government that has to be forced to feed families with hungry children?

SNAP benefits shouldn’t be a courtroom battle. People shouldn’t have to beg for basic humanity. But here we are.

So to cap their horrible week, Senate Republicans refused a deal to reopen the government in exchange for just helping people with health insurance and now the president wants the Supreme Court to say he doesn’t have to obey the law and feed the hungry.

Amazing.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Louisiana — the red state that Mike Johnson nominally represents — has the second highest percentage of residents enrolled in SNAP in the nation.

They’re pushing this fantasy about these being “Democrat programs” used only in blue states but that’s a PR fantasy divorced from reality.
Mike Johnson: "These blue states have abused the SNAP program just like they've abused Medicaid and so many other government programs."
