Unavoidable conclusion: SCOTUS has put 1 man in America above the law & created a king. Not the first time a case has been decided wrong. The fix for democracy lies, as it did in Dred Scott, with fixing a broken decision. Hopefully this one won’t require a civil war. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/26/u...

A sad irony in Washington, D.C., where West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot today. Six days ago, a court ruled their deployment was illegal, but stayed the order pending appeal. My heart goes out to these public servants and their families. oag.dc.gov/sites/defaul...

Remember when all the gun nuts said they were ready to fight against a tyrannical government?

Turns out they’re fine with tyranny and just wanted an excuse to shoot Democrats. Who could have guessed?

Everyone knows data centers use a ton of water.

What hardly anyone knows: they can poison the water that remains.

And in eastern Oregon, Amazon is doing exactly that.

Israel’s Lt. Col. Itamar Eitam openly admitted the goal of Israel’s Gaza operation was to empty Gaza, destroy its infrastructure, and force Palestinians into a tiny southern zone with just enough food to survive—while pressuring Europe to take in refugees.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

David Frum just dropped the hammer:

Leavitt keeps calling it the “Department of War,” but that itself is illegal. Congress named it the Department of Defense. A president can’t just wake up and rename federal agencies because it sounds tougher on TV.

Barack Obama gave us a #CupOfJoe in 2008 that brought tears to my eyes. “The true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, & unyielding hope.”
