Every day I read experiences like this by Ukrainians. Every day I read a shit take by some asshole who got their piece published in the press muddying the water. Many of them are journalists.

But this is clear cut. Russia is terror bombing civilians on the 4th (12th) year.

We must help them.
So fucking disorienting to wake up from another bombing and see the whole world, but mostly americans of course, just go on about their day, world just keeps spinning, their support lasted for a news cycle

This is how two marine biologists celebrate a long day's work securing 3000 baby corals on ropes (the "coral nursery") to grow till they're big enough to plant out on the reef. This little island has exceptional biodiversity because of active management efforts. 2 days ago they were clearing snails.

Britain has the second-highest tidal range on the planet, behind Canada.

And yet we make use of nearly none of it.

If we seriously invest in tidal power, then we can create jobs, generate clean and cheap energy, and slash bills.

The decision to sacrifice Ukrainians as disposable, second-class people for the sake of "avoiding escalation" has been an act of strategic idiocy. The consequences are now clear: Russia is more battle-hardened,its drone production is in overdrive, and its desperation makes it more dangerous, not less
On the first day of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, President Zelensky called NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg from a bunker in Kyiv, pleading for a no-fly zone to stop Russian airstrikes.

He cited NATO’s past interventions in Bosnia and Iraq, but

not because the voters want them to,

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.
