I now realise it takes two or three days to cut your own hair.

Day one, you cut it.

Days two and three, bedhead first reveals uncut clumps that were mysteriously invisible previously and then individual hairs that wave around like reeds in a stream.

Monmouth was underwater yesterday. Town at the confluence of the Monnow and the Wye.

Happened around the time we had Sun Alphonse (maybe I slightly exaggerate but it wasn't especially rainy) on the other side of the mountains.

An #Egyptian glass inlay of a jackal. Jackals were linked with the dead, because they were present in the desert regions near to the cemeteries. The most popular jackal-shaped god was Anubis, the god of embalming. Dating 5th -1st c. BC.

2356 years ago, on the 14th of November 332 BCE, Alexander the Great was crowned pharaoh of Egypt. He had previously been pronounced the son of Amun on a visit tot the oracle at the Siwa Oasis. Due to this supposed lineage, Alexander was sometimes depicted with the Horns of Ammon. #otd #history 🗃️

We should have weather warnings here for when it's not wet and windy, not when it is.

Today you don't need your wellingtons and your waterproofs and your sou'wester and your inside-out brolly because - WARNING - it's going to be SUNNY today.
