my final update with the ikea cabinet terrarium conversion is that unfortunately, i did a shit job sealing the bottom wood piece, and moisture seeped into it over time, causing it to rot and mold. So the terrarium got dismantled last month.

ball python at the pet store said shes a fish now lol. Yes there was barely any water left in the bowl because she displaced onto the substrate everything with her fat little body

dont get into aquariums because you'll start with a small one, then decide its not big enough and get a bigger one, and rinse and repeat until you have a 4ft long 75g aquarium and STILL be like "i just think a 125g would provide a better environment" and you'll be doomed
