I’m exhausted from this week but I’m excited to go deliver food boxes to my neighbors in need tomorrow. It’s makes the exhaustion worth it knowing my neighbors are fed.

Having lived at the poverty line a majority of my life has taught me to make delicious food out of pretty much anything I can get my hands on. This weekend I made a Dutch oven full of delicious ham, potato and fennel soup for my kid. She ate most of it and LOVED it.

I had to spend the weekend offline to regenerate. So I used my spare time to create a zine. I haven’t made one in about 20 years. I think I need to get back into it.

The sound of the rain on my roof has me contemplative which can be a good thing in normal times. However, with the world collapsing all around me it‘s spiking my anxiety and I might just need to go to sleep early today. Volunteering tomorrow will recharge me.

My kid has been trying to hatch a shiny Phione in Pokémon Scarlet off and on for the last six months. She was getting a bit discouraged so tonight I played with her online to keep her company and after about 100 eggs she finally hatched shiny Phione!

If this administration is not stopped within the next few weeks it will be the end of the United States and turmoil worldwide. I held out hope for a while but our elected leaders are doing nothing. I never thought I would be alive to witness the collapse but here we are. I regret having a kid.

They want people to have kids because once you have kids you are easier to control. You have to be here for your kid. You make more sacrifices for your kid. Child-free means there is less holding you back from stopping them. Especially true if you are a solo parent.

I made chicken and dumplings today for my kid. I made bone broth which took about 24 hours of slow cooking. I hope it’s delicious. I can’t eat it but it smells amazing.

While I did chores today I listened to some of MLKs speeches and found myself overcome with emotion. A mix of despair, joy, sadness, and glimmers of hope.

I’m so exhausted by the world. I’ve been tired of it for as long as I can remember. It’s getting harder and harder to find anything good in a day. There’s nowhere to go to escape any of it.
