Was quite literally just saying this as I realized how much of my current situation is because of something I agreed to.

Did you know lottery winners who become wealthy over night, 70% of them go broke just a few years later? There are two godly principles behind this.

1) Money without wisdom is always lost
2) We don’t protect what we didn’t produce (this isn't just about money)

There are two things in this world better than money, wisdom and favor.

Both of which can take you places and get you things that makes money unnecessary. While at the same time, increase your bank account.

Your difference is what’ll create your success. It’ll create your salary and decide who pursues you. Your difference determines your value to another.

Similarity creates comfort but won’t create the success you desire. Be different.

You’ve heard the saying, “People don’t leave companies, they leave managers.” But let’s be honest, people do leave companies.

People leave companies that TOLERATE bad managers.

They leave when their manager yells at them in meetings

When they’re thrown under the bus 🧵

Logic isn’t a driver during times of change. Emotions are. Which is why it’s so important to have leaders who are emotionally smart and can navigate through those emotions.

Between 70-90% of M&A deals still fail to deliver promised value. Every M&A creates a gap between value promised and value delivered. And that gap is widened when only focused on the spreadsheet & not the ppl managing the spreadsheet.

His resume listed EQ, decision-making, + strategic thinking as skills. Today’s actions told us otherwise.

EQ isn’t about appearing composed, it’s abt how we regulate impulses + manage stress. A reminder, the most dangerous leaders are often the ones who think they’re in control.

Let’s talk about Impulse Control. It’s a core skill of emotionally intelligent leadership.

When leaders don’t take a pause, they confuse reactivity w decisiveness. Impulse control is what separates emotional maturity from emotional mess and is the EQ that keeps power from turning reckless.
