Meeting @malakyonis.bsky.social at #NCTE24 was such a crucial moment in year 10! It because so clear to me that mentoring new teachers and making this work sustainable is work I need to lean into!
In year 10, I poured my soul into my classroom, into my practice, into my colleagues, and into my students. I left it all on the field. I gave everything I had and a little bit more. I was bold AF, I dreamed big, and I took risks. Some of them flopped, but some of them paid off in the biggest way.

Saw my fav author again, this time at #NCTE2024 Fun fact: During my first MS teaching interview, when they asked which book would I teach and why, I responded with _Attack of the Black Rectangles_ by A.S King! Because it centers student voice & advocates for anti-censorship! ❣️ @as-king.bsky.social
