Normalizing shaming corporations who refuse to pay people a living wage so that their billionaire owners can get even richer.

Normalize shaming people who think we must “prove” our worth before we can eat or receive healthcare.

Stop shaming the sick, the poor & marginalized.

What's the point of living in Kentucky if I have to deal with this premature ejaculation? It's FALL. The leaves are red and yellow and still on the actual trees. Get it together weather.

I like that Kim Davis fails at everything she tries to do, including destroying marriages, maintaining her own marriages, and her hair.
New: The Supreme Court DENIES Kim Davis' request to overturn Obergefell, the marriage equality decision. No noted dissents. www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court...

TVP also makes an excellent crock pot chili and eliminates the need to brown the beef.
Textured Vegetable Protein makes a "ground beef" taco that's as good as the real thing except HEALTHIER and CHEAPER with shelf-stable ingredients, besides the tortillas.
TVP can be found in health food BUT bulk stores often carry it and at a much better price.

There's a reason that we rely on the government and not individuals for food safety regulation.
Does freezing and/or cooking food not kill listeria????
Six people became ill and died after eating prepared pasta meals that were contaminated with listeria and sold at major grocery chains across the U.S., federal health officials said.

I've been at this asthma game long enough to remember the days before premixed sterile ampules and it's a reminder every time I clean out the pocket of my nebulizer bag how plastics are truly a gift often squandered.

Due to going back and forth between my kindle and my phone I've ended up reading two Fae based romantasy series at once (The Otherworld by Emma Hamm and Fae Guardians by Lana Pecherczyk) and I am not doing a good job remembering which is which.

Y'all this is basically dismantling the ACA without actually having to dismantle the ACA.

Nobody actually wants to go to the bad old days when ever having been prescribed an inhaler makes you essentially uninsurable.
Well, an acquaintance who relies on the ACA marketplace for insurance just received a notice explaining that their fee for coverage will be rising. Right now they pay $180 a month. The new price?

$2733.15 a month.

Finished the first book last night, there's some interesting world building but also some elements seem to have some hand wavey vagueness that the author seems to hope we won't notice.
Fae Guardians by Lana Pecherczyk! The first few are very by the books typical romantasy but the back half gets way more interesting

Both of my grandparents were sent to live with their grandparents for periods of time when their own parents couldn't afford to feed them.
What did people do before SNAP?”

They died.

Healthcare, vaccines, disability support, education & food assistance are vital to our survival.

They’re why the average lifespan isn’t 35 anymore

The mark of a good & decent society is whether it sees the value in helping others.
