I’ve just signed up to be a CLP organiser for Mainstream … The current hyperfactional leadership of the Labour Party doesn’t represent its members or our base … I’m fed up with shouting at the radio … The time for action is now!!!
🌹We're building power for the democratic socialist vision and values that Labour was founded to champion.

Yesterday, we invited members of Mainstream to join our CLP Organisers Network and Local Groups Network.

❓❔Where are the boundaries of government action in the economy? How do we pursue a transformative economic agenda in a financialised system?

These are some of the issues we explored yesterday with @danielagabor.bsky.social at the first of our PLP seminars, organised with @labourlewis.bsky.social

To transform Britain and defeat the far-right, Labour needs a grassroots movement in every community.

Our plummeting membership figures prove the top-down model has failed. The answer is to democratise, open up, and empower members.

Our view on the Child Poverty Strategy published today.

Child poverty is a moral stain on our society and its eradication is the least that the public expect from the Labour Party.

The mainstream of our party wants social justice to be at the heart of our offer to the country.

Power is unusually centralised in the UK. Labour can ensure it cascades deeply and widely.

@paulabarkermp.bsky.social argues for a bold approach to fiscal devolution to build on this week's 'tourist tax' progress.

The 'tourist tax' should be just the start of a bold approach to fiscal devolution
The visitor economy is not a niche subject: tourism is the UK’s third-largest service export, directly contributing £58bn to the economy in 2023.

Yesterday's Budget contained much to celebrate, but we especially welcome the ending of the two-child benefit limit - something we have campaigned for since our launch in September.

Labour is at its best when our values shine. Yesterday, we caught a glimpse of that.
84% of Labour members want an end to the two-child benefit limit.

Delegates must have an opportunity to debate party policy - and Labour must give children the opportunity of a life free from poverty and hunger.

In the Priorities Ballot, vote for 'SUPPORTING FAMILIES'.
