Finished playing The Seance of Blake Manor, a game that is very much up my street. I loved it! I loved the detective aspect, the time limits which add pressure but not too much, the stories. Very much recommended!

Finished Riot Women today. It's quite dark and heavy hitting at times but very good. Not at all like its advertising.

Doing some mandatory training. Current topic - manual handling. Loving this absolute diva living her best life carrying a box around the office.

Me, leaning against the time machine; So - richest man ever, people keep piling money on him no matter how badly he fails BUT ALSO he's a laughing stock everywhere, everyone can see he's miserable; he has no love in his life, not even his kids

Much excitement (citation needed) in the office yesterday (ok, just by me) when I found a document that was published on the day I was born. #LibrariansAreCool

Always reassuring when a colleague opens a box of ephemera and unveils a huge poster about gonorrhoea.

At my only trip to Hyde Park Picture House this film festival. Cosy gaslight wonder. Popped a couple of ghost marshmallows in my hot chocolate for ambiance.

Somehow ended up out in this storm for the second time today but I just had mulled wine while watching a film in a church so I'm calling this a win.

Happy Friday!
My mum has been making needle felted mice for a few years and enjoys challenging herself with new themes and ideas. She's just set up her first exhibition at the stately home she volunteers at, with a family of period mice. Incredible.

That article doing the rounds about British people thinking that life was better 50 years ago (which is a nonsense research question anyway), aligns quite nicely with some research I did on electroshock conversion therapy. The latest example of which I could find was from 1975.

Me smugly admiring my CD copy of an album an artist is dicking about with on streaming.

Yep, Everyman cinema is still the absolute worst. And I'm there twice in two days 😩

Watching three films at the cinema yesterday, with one being a four hour Indian classic and another being a 2.5 hour Chilean drama has done wonders for my neck, as you can imagine.

About to watch my first film of three today at #LIFF2025. First film of eight over the next three days. Help!

A wonderful 8th (?) time seeing Ross Noble. Highlights include Elaine Paige in the musical version of The Human Centipede, Ross being gaffer taped to Keith Chegwin, Bruce For-scythe, Timothy Dalton making pottery, his recent shark show and Greg Wallace (derogatory).

Not all heroes wear capes. The thing is, privileged people never have an idea of the space the take up whereas us minorities are semi-conscious of it all of the time.
