I'm lucky. My wife works for a university and we thus have relatively affordable health insurance for us and our <25 year-old kids. But I'm hyperaware that, if that went away, I'd be a 50-something self-employed dude with no viable options. That informs my anger at the Dems' capitulation.
The ACA has saved self-employed people, under-26 y/os, people with pre-existing conditions, people who work for individual employers...that the GOP is throwing them to the wind is no surprise, but the Dems giving up on them is disgraceful.
