This is such a betrayal. I’m increasingly worried that the U.S. will never regain trust of other countries ever again. It was hard enough after Trump Admin 1 & Afghanistan.

They're not tariffs unless they come from Tarifa. Otherwise they're just sparkling insane taxes with no base in reality.
Tariffs get their name from Tarifa, a pretty Andalusian port just west of Gibraltar which was base to notorious pirates who used to mug traders passing between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

I was ripped to shreds on #CNN for standing up for the safety of the American military before Hegseth was hired. Told I was a “disgrace” who should be “ashamed of myself”, berated through the commercial break and threatened with defamation. Look where we are now.

A president gives orders that break the law, and doesn’t stop when he’s told he must by the people he’s supposed to obey. Like an unruly kid told no over and over by parents that don’t enforce rules. The kid won’t learn - why should he when there are no consequences? The USA has made a monster.
