This show is batshit crazy and becomes even more so as it goes on. The ballet sequences are gorgeous. Luke Kirby is perfection. And this American debut by a French actress who basically learned English to play her part is a stunning breakthrough performance.

Etoile is really enjoyable. I like movies and shows about ballet because it’s one thing I can never imagine being able to do with my body. Sure let me just dance around on my goddamn toenails.
