The singles released for the upcoming Mayhem album are a mixed bag. But this that I see on the track list preview is exciting

Pick up the nearest book. Turn to leave 42, post the second sentence.

"Now the Teleri abode long on the east bank of that river and wished to remain there, but the Vanyar and the Noldor passed over it, and Oromë led them into the passes of the mountains."
Pick up the nearest book. Turn to page 42, post the second sentence.

"It pulls at my clothing and sometimes I feel I've got to pick it up, cuddle and kiss it."

Moved our daughter from nursery to a German kindergarten, same as her brother went to. Night & day ❤️. I know it's a stereotype but it's so refreshing working with Germans as doing a good job is important to them. In the UK we pay people to do a shit job and we're grateful because we're used to it 😂

That feeling when someone close to you has a scare with the big C word and, after an anxious few weeks' wait, it turns out it's not as bad as it could have been ❤️🫂😌

More unsolicited fantasy book reviews! This time Daughter of the Empire, book 1 of the Empire Trilogy, by Raymond E Feist & Janny Wurts. Follow-up and parallel to the Riftwar Saga. I read it on audiobook.

At a bookshop looking for a book for the 4.5yo, a step up from basic picture books, maybe with a plot. Suggested Dungeon Runners, some cool dragon quest story, fantasy stuff like that. He chose a book about a boy who loves soccer. The universe is cruel. What next? Musical theatre? Christianity?

I haven't played BG3 for about 4-6 weeks due to boring parenting child sleep reasons. But I'm also kinda stuck on that mofo Balthazar at the end of Act 2. Just can't beat the fucker. Hopefully soon I can spend some time focusing on it and get past him
