Rereading The Hunger Games after Sunrise on the Reaping comes with a whole load of emotional trauma that I failed to factor in when I went ahead and jumped straight in… So much context has been added and I’m loving it while also being emotionally damaged by it.

I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community.

We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect?

Trans people are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity like anyone else.

In under 24 hours, Israel has massacred over 400 people in Gaza — including 174 children.

Words of condemnation ring hollow.

The UK government must end ALL arms sales, trade & diplomatic ties with a state facing genocide charges at the ICJ & leaders under ICC arrest warrants.

Waiting a full year to see the second act of #wicked feels needlessly cruel. What do you mean this won’t just be a brief interval full of ice-cream. I really hope they do both parts as a double feature next year so I can experience the whole thing #wickedmovie

Finally making the move to #storygraph and I’m currently deciding if I import my Goodreads data or make this a fresh start for my reading tracking. Of course a fresh start at the end of November is a slightly bizarre choice but one I may well make…

Anyone who is calling for spaces like BookTok to be a “politics free space” should read this post and think about the real reason why they want that.

White women asking to keep politics out of BookTok aren't just seeking comfort—they're preserving systems of oppression. Read my latest post on BookTok, reading and white supremacy.

Ah the festive season has truly arrived once this bad boy appears to rob me of my sanity as I slowly spiral into thinking I, in fact, don’t know any book titles. Thankfully obsessive staring and randomly inputting words into the Waterstones website triumphs once again… #hiddenbooksgame #booksky
