Spent a lot of my teenage years listening to the Moody Blues and the BlueJays. RIP 💙
John Lodge, the singer and bass guitarist for the British rock group the Moody Blues, died at 82. He wrote some of the band’s biggest hits, including “Ride My See-Saw” and “I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)."

So who's your favourite #Dickens actor? If you've seen David Lodge's BBC 1994 adaptation, it might be Tom Wilkinson (aka Pecksniff in Martin Chuzzlewitt). Brilliant! Here he is beside illustrator Fred Barnard's version victorianweb.org/art/illustra...

Not one, but two early editions of Dombey and Son arrived in the post. Both published in Dickens's lifetime, they tell a story of his branding and marketing which contributed to his success. 1/

When you read ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood,’ note how the only “celestial,” “beautiful,” “melodious,” “sublimely,” “delightful,” “fervid,” and “sweet” part about the Cathedral is the voice of its Choir.

(Choirmaster John Jasper is innocent for the murder of Edwin Drood.)
