I am thrilled about the new apartment tower on Bannatyne in the Exchange District. I work next door and I think they did an incredible job in balancing the old with the modern. #Winnipeg

Nothing about this article I don’t love.

Sitting in the sun, chewing sunflower seeds and watching your kid rob hitters and knock in RBIs is a decent way to spend a June evening.

I just learned that Santa Lucia pizza on Portage closes at 10pm on Wednesdays and if that was a better condemnation of 2025 Winnipeg bar culture, I don’t know what it is….

The next five weeks will be an experiment of who understands voter motivations and emotions the best.

The previous four weeks suggest that the Tories never truly understood why they were so popular in 2024.

But the Liberals also seem to be misunderstanding why they weren’t.

Doing the work of my life supporting this guy. Can’t wait to see the city five years from now. Lots of table-setting but 2025 feels like the year when the vision starts being felt.
We’re tackling the problems that have held our city back for decades, and Building Winnipeg for the generations ahead.

From transit and housing to Portage Place and the North End treatment plant, we’re making real progress. And we’re just getting started.

Though 30 mins from order-to-still-haven’t-gotten-my-sausage-and-eggs might have something to do with it. There’s only four tables.
My favourite breakfast place sold over the pandemic and I just haven’t enjoyed it once since. Can’t articulate why, but it just isn’t the same.

Five years ago, right now, I was sitting in the MB Minister of Finance’s office, discussing what we were going to do with the budget that the NDP blocked him from delivering the day before.

We were also trying our best to figure out how much coronavirus was going to adjust our numbers.

The last time I saw a 25-pt lead wiped out in two months it got my boss elected.
Nanos Research tracker since January 10, 2025.

CPC's 27-point lead now evaporated.

March 7 update was the last one with Justin Trudeau as PM.

I can’t wait to see more of these deployed in the wild.
And so it begins...

There was a time when Twitter would have had a real time COVID tracker leading up to next week’s five-year anniversary and at least a month to come in the early days.

Winnipeg's housing programs are helping build thousand of homes, create hundreds of jobs, and boost the economy at a time when we need it.

This result would be the floor the Liberals would consider for the next election to be a victory over expectations.

This is the problem for Pierre Poilievre and the CPC:

Not every CPC voter will want to embrace this 51st State nonsense and talk about joining the USA.

But almost all the Canadians who do embrace it and cheerlead it will be CPC voters.

Other voters will notice and act accordingly.

You’ll see this a lot tonight because the casting was inspired but man, this reads to me like a Lynchian view on “picture making”.
