Seems like this post is bound to show up as an exhibit in one of the cases challenging ICE/Border Control enforcement actions.

thanks, KSR. 🎇
The comments on this post…wow. Pelosi and DelBene made a fun wager about today’s football game and people ranted at them. Resistance ALSO includes finding joy and beauty, it’s the antithesis of fascism. Self care is also needed. Enjoy the game. Go Hawks! #Voices4Victory #ProudBlue
Seahawks vs. 49ers means it’s time for a friendly wager 🏈 @pelosi.house.gov & I are ready for Saturday.

The French are apparently experimenting with making Russia-style hairy vehicles.
"The French are testing anti-drone "braids" - thick, medium, and thin cables. An interesting feature is a rubber tie for the thin "braids", so that the structure can be "rolled up" if necessary."

I’m saddened to hear about Bill Martin’s tragic passing.

He exemplified the best of Virginia — developing a deep knowledge of our past and determining how it can inform our future.

Adam and I are praying for Bill’s family, friends, and the Richmond community.

As 2026 begins, the best is yet to come.

Together, we’ll unite to build a Commonwealth that’s stronger, safer, and more affordable.

Wishing all Virginians a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year! 🎉

you know this guy is a FOR REAL photographer because he's telling the story of his brutal, unconditional arrest by federal goons and can't help but slip in a gear review
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Trump destroyed a casino. He destroys everything he touches. Everything.
As 47’s trade wars continue, farmers are hurting. The US government is no longer fostering a global agricultural market in which American farmers enjoy a trade advantage.

Hard to predict what happens next, but our farmers are not sanguine.

No pay wall.
American farmers, who once fed the world, face a volatile global market with diminishing federal backing
The US government used to have American farmers’ backs, but that support has been dwindling for decades. New subsidies signal big changes for farmers.

I like how some american commentators et al are still saying the trump Greenland stuff is a Distraction even tho it has already resulted in multiple European countries treated it like a threat of imminent invasion and have redirected military et al resources accordingly
Greenland is defended by all of NATO, which includes the United States. Alliances are one way to defend your territory.
Miller: Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland… Under every understanding of law that has existed about territorial control for 500 years, to control a territory you have to be able to defend a territory…
