“These are regular removal proceedings. This is standard procedure and there is nothing retaliatory about enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. He will receive full due process."

It’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.

I always feel the need to remind editors that the people of Rojava are not all Kurds. There are still Arabs in the SDF and of course Armenians and Yezidis. Nonetheless the friends are defending their revolution in difficult times and could use your solidarity.

This is one of the reasons I have argued that ending immigrant jail should be a core demand. The capacity to hold people in jails around the country makes it easier to arrest and deport. (It also kills people and holds them hostage, but I digress).
