For International Women's Day, let's remember Lydia Litvyak, AKA "The White Rose of Stalingrad." She was a young Jewish girl who loved to fly and, as a fighter pilot during WW2, became the first woman ace despite flying an obsolete Yak 1B and is credited with 13 solo kills and 6 shared kills.
