With the latest trump-sanctioned illegal action of seizing a Venezuelan oil tanker, the obvious reasons for his violence against this sovereign nation are crystal clear. He wants to start a war so he can't be removed according to the Constitution. He wants access to the oil. He wants Meduro out.

my dad died yesterday at home next to my mom. it was sudden but not unexpected. here he is getting arrested at an anti-war protest in 1970 in Chicago. he was a history prof who taught me to never give up hope that a better world is possible. i love him and will miss him.

You saved the best fact for last! That's one of the most important reasons. The other is that he would still remain president if there is an ongoing war. No way he's ever going to leave our WH willingly. If some Venezuelans have to die...they're just collateral damage.

The Chinese are smart enough to know that disease travels. It never stays local. If it's in Africa today, it will be somewhere else tomorrow. It's logical and humane to help combat diseases which ravage victims while threatening others.

In the American West, "settlers" used the same violent tactics 2 wipe out, drive out Indigenous ppl. Deja vu in the West Bank

And because the statistics support it...SNAP and welfare are the lifelines of more white Americans than any other minority. Once again, trump is proving what he said during the campaign, "I don't care about you, I only want your vote". Yet you did it anyway. Now you're in line at the food pantry.
Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.
