Dropping below 50F in S FL tonight. Watch out for #iguana rain falling. Remember: DON'T put them in your car thinking they're dying or dead. You'll be in for an unpleasant surprise when they warm up. Maybe buy yourself some Palm Beach Frozen Iguanas merch instead? smh 😂 #MiLB #herps

Spectacled Caiman (Caiman crocodilus).

A Colombian pacific classic. Always love seeing so many Caimans whenever I go to the pacific. Generally I see them while canoeing but this one was the first one I see while creek walking, very cool! #herps 🐊

A lot of people find it strange that I think my snakes are beautiful. I guess I find it strange that they don't, so in a weird way we have common grounds. I mean look at sergeant Colon's eyes, how their colours folow the shades of his scales. He's a gorgeous boy. 🐍

This baby newt has recently lost his gills and now he is breathing with his little lungs. I will move him to a new habitat soon.

When all the baby newts have left the water, I will put the parents back in the tank to produce more baby newts.

Rueda's Anole (Anolis maculigula)!

Possibly my new favorite lizard I've seen in the wild. Endemic to Colombia, they are mainly found near waterfalls and are fairly aquatic, they can create bubbles from the top of their head and re-breathe these bubbles to last longer underwater, crazy! #herps 🦎

Another shot from the night hunting in the jungle west of Puerto Morelos, QR, Mexico.

A Yucatán banded gecko (Coleonyx elegans), although admittedly not looking very banded.

White-lipped Mud Turtle (kinosternon leucostomum)

My first ever Colombian Kinosternon! This is the most excited I've been for any herp during my trip down here, I wanted to see one of them so bad. Found in the Colombian pacific, swimming in a pool of water next to a creek. #herps 🐢
