Well travelled Brummie happily living in Scotland since 2012. Loves the coast, mountains, wild places, hence photography. I enjoy reading fantasy and sci-fi. Armchair follower of politics. Treasurer, Cowal Camera Club. All images are mine except re-posts.

Overwhelmed by all the love for my North Devon image. 🙏 Feeling very battered by Storm Éowyn in Argyll today. Need a calm and soothing image taken last year walking on #Camusdarach beach on the west #coast of #Scotland. Hand held 1.5sec exposure.

Arrived on the #Northumberland coast for a week's photography. Weather looking much better than it did some weeks ago. 😁
An image from my last visit, looking out from Bamburgh.

Room with a View!
Great scene, shame about Moine House ruin, lying in the Flow Country between Durness and Kyle of Tongue.

Just an expanse of ocean, storm clouds, a lone bird, and weird sunset light on a previous trip to West Lewis, #OuterHebrides

New images later. Love clouds. ❤️
A dramatic cloud formation, taken while I was on the lovely beach at Oldshoremore, features more strongly in black and white. There are many stunning bays in the remote North-west Sutherland area of #Scotland

It took me more than 4 years to capture a scene I could only dream of. A magnificent Condor soars above the peaks of Argentina's Mount Fitz Roy, as they are spot lit in beautiful morning light.

Quite glad that the big story in British politics is whether Andy Burnham will apply to stand in a by-election and not people being gunned down by state militias.

Solidarity with Minnesotans resisting this barbarity.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

So lucky to be in #Harris when snowstorms arrived last November. Looking across to the Harris hills from Seilebost.

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo

If your home is covered in snow, or battered by wind, here's a reminder of warmer days. Taken last August on the island of #Sanday #Orkney #Scotland

A bit of serendipity this morning - didn’t feel safe going out in the car so went to the canal instead and saw this. My comedy moment for the year 🦢🤪

Happy New Year #Bluesky A huge thank you to followers for your support. It means a lot. 😁
May all your storm clouds end in rainbows.
I've visited the #Callanish Stones on #Lewis many times, but never bettered these conditions a few years ago.

I couldn't resist a photo of these unusually coloured and shaped coastal rocks on the Isle of #Sanday, #Orkney Outgoing tide had left behind small pebbles making a contrasting composition. One that gave me a surprising win at my camera club. 👍😁
