Looking at you, SCOTUS👀
You can't be like, "the Bible *implies* trans people shouldn't exist," but then also be like, "unless a right is specifically enumerated in the Constitution, it doesn't exist."

Like, come on, at least get your talking points to agree. (And read the 9th amendment while you're at it.)

Your yearly reminder that St. Nicholas is the patron saint of sx workers. How did he help sx workers? Not with punishment, but with bags of gold coins.

Be like St. Nicholas: instead of supporting policing, give your money to wh*res 💰💰💰

We've been fighting for our rights since this country's age could be measured in decades. This movement and its arguments are foundational to who we are as a nation - who gets to be seen? Who gets economic autonomy? Whose labor counts? Who is allowed to exist in public space? These are our questions
"A pr*st*tute has the right to walk the streets" - an argument from Matilda et al, 1855.

In the 1830s to 1860s, sx workers in NYC organized against incarceration in what may have been the first American sx workers' rights movement.

The term "streetwalker" is just a way of policing who gets to access public space.

Crackdowns on sx work occur not just out of a desire to erase or abolish is, but out of a desire to capture our labor for markets the state can profit from. Whether those be via incarceration or "rehabilitation" through "appropriate" feminized service work.

New from 404 Media: Flock exposed some of its AI-powered cameras to the internet. We know because we tracked ourselves with them. These cameras zoom in on passersby, sometimes so close we could read a random person's phone screen. Required no login to view cameras

If you run an arts fund, an lgbtq+ scholarship, or any benefit for minority groups, now is not the time for respectability progressivism (if there ever was). Don't center the middle, center the most radical. Center sx workers, felons, artists against the state. These are the real resistance leaders

I wrote about the conservative quest to restore the "true" Constitution, the Antebellum Constitution, shorn of the egalitarian nonsense in the Reconstruction Amendments, a document that replaces equality with a society of dominators and the dominated. www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

Assertions of white victimization have been central to backlash rhetoric since the Reconstruction Era. JD Vance’s claim at the Turning Point convention that “you don’t have to apologize for being white anymore,” fits into this tradition.

I say this ALL THE TIME
When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.
Seems like it's worth posting this one again.

Imagine if just by refusing to comment, you could stop any story from running. You would literally never find out anything unflattering about anybody. It amounts to asking people for their blessing to publish your reporting about them.

Weiss said investigation had to include comments from Trump administration

60M's ⁦‪Sharyn Alfonsi‬⁩ said multiple US agencies refused to comment - and this lets WH veto coverage

There has ALWAYS been sexualized media. People claiming an "explosion" of it (looking at you Gail Dines) are just noticing the explosion of media generally. There is more of everything now. To claim this is about sx is ahistorical
December 21, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Wow wow wow. I just read something where academics researching sx work called themselves "the other sx workers" and I cannot. Just no.
