How long until they decide that k-12th is segregated?

How long until Jim Crow is resurrected?

How long until they strike down Brown v Board of Education??

Tell me, how long until they gather Wansee style to figure out how to finally put to rest, "The Black Question"
Anecdotal, I know, but my 12th grader would rather have her eyelashes pulled out, than get married. And we have a happy, stable 2 parent household.

I think she just sees what the dating pool looks like at her HS and her primary response is, "um, no".

12th grade girls are less likely than boys to say they want to get married someday
67% of 12th graders say they’ll likely choose to get married someday, down from 80% in 1993. The decline reflects shifting views among girls.

JFC Oklahoma you fuckin cowards. Now every Jesus-freak right-wing student who can't get a passing grade for a bunch of bible quotes masquerading as an essay is going to file a 1st amendment complaint. You gonna suspend the whole Biology department for teaching about evolution? (Don't answer that)

I'm genuinely surprised that people fly/travel for Thanksgiving. The weather is almost always abysmal at one or more major airports.

I know people want to be with family but like, have a big bbq Thanksgiving in June or something, lol.
Travelers at the end of the Thanksgiving holiday on Sunday were finding hundreds of flights delayed and canceled in Chicago following a winter storm in the Great Lakes region, while a wintry mix of rain and snow developed in the Northeast.

The psychology of this website is so transparent. They're not attacking progressive media (who don't give a shit) so much as they're naming access bootlickers who already often cater to the WH anyway — because they’ll actually freak out and change their coverage *even more.*

Trump putting the Washington Post and CBS News in his “Offender Hall of Shame,” even as they bend over backwards to curry favor tells us that nothing short of full propaganda mode will ever be acceptable to him. There's no way for a news organization to maintain credibility and be "fair" to Trump.

This is essentially Vinay Prasad, who has an MD, declaring his intent to use the government to torture children to dead via preventable disease by knowingly withholding the cure.

To call this despicable is an understatement.
Vinay Prasad of the FDA claims that he has proof that 10 children died from COVID19 vaccines, so the FDA will now target flu shots, look at whether people should receive multiple vaccines at the same time, and make the vaccine approval process significantly more difficult.
FDA to impose strict new vaccine requirements, claiming child covid shot deaths
Vinay Prasad, the nation’s top vaccine regulator, said his team concluded that coronavirus shots were linked to children’s deaths, necessitating a new approach.

Holy Jesus. No wonder these people are so jealous of black and brown folks.

There's not enough runway for me to begin the launch of my tirade against this dry, flavorless, unseasoned, unbuttered, no-cheese mess.

Imma go have another cup of coffee, because dis tew much.

You know, many years ago a Senate committee floated limiting compensation at nonprofits to federal pay scales. (Tops out at ~ half mil, usually for the VHA or NIH head.) If you wanted to pay more, you couldn't call yourself a nonprofit. After outrage from many lobbyists, the idea got buried.

This article is great and highlights many of my concerns with way many universities are approaching AI.
“Professors with the most experience teaching students to use technology believe that no one yet understands how to integrate AI into curricula without risking terrible educational consequence.”
Colleges Are Preparing to Self-Lobotomize
The skills that students will need in an age of automation are precisely those that are eroded by inserting AI into the educational process.

Sadly, the vocal minority of people using anti AI as a way to launder their reputation (of previously being numbskulls, pro AI, and/or bullies & abusers) have arrived because in science it's shifted to uncool to be pro AI. Nothing new here; a pattern we all know, but it's started in this space too.
