AI is the most important new issue on the agenda and it’s not great that the leading approaches are:

1. Do whatever big tech wants
2. Make stuff up about water use

I think we can do better!

Multiple math professors (including the professor generally regarded as the world’s best) have confirmed recently that yes, AI really can solve some open (but not yet major) problems in mathematics, with expert guidance.

The question is whether the ability of these models continues to increase.
