This doesn't address at all your cackling at the idea that Altman literally wants to make more electrons. Seems to reflect more on your critical thinking skills than his.

Not assuming every word someone says is meant to be taken literally is reading comprehension 101.

Now, I don't mean it's actually a college course, but meant it metaphorically to imply that it's a basic skill within the field.

And when I say "field", I don't mean a grassy plain, but rather...

Congratulations!

Your success triggered a bunch of insecure and cruel people. Sorry you had to experience their ire.

I... Do not experience this. The only AI that feels forced on me is the easily scrolled past "AI overview" when using Google.

I think it's more "essentials affordability". Housing, education, childcare, and healthcare all significantly outpace inflation.

Not to say there isn't a vibe to reality discrepancy, but I personally feel like there is a relative glut of cheap *products* but essential services are incredibly high.

Bloom Elementary bus was roughly on time and everyone was in good spirits. Now for two magnet school car lines 😬.

I used twitter for three reasons:
1)fun
2)breaking news/live events
3)network building

Blue sky is definitively not fun, and it doesn't have enough normies to be good at 2 or 3. You can't get good news or build networks well when you only have a tiny fraction of the network and they're all tankies.

Blue sky is not as fun/funny as twitter was, nor does it feel like as good of a place to feel tapped into real-time events. What's more, it feels much more like an echo chamber, and although the politics of its users are less toxic, the discourse is often more so.

To be fair, humans make up > 70% of Ezra's demographics.

I value you being here. Although if it's bad for your well-being, you should definitely leave.

What percentage of this poverty reduction is due to degrowth communism vs. increases in productive technology, industrialization and free trade? I'm all for regulation that benefits consumers and robust social safety nets, but "degrowth communism" is absolutely not the play.

It's very good and funny! I love flexible standardization!

Degrowth communism would result in levels of poverty and societal unrest like never seen.

Is that bridge in a country that has recently increased their productivity and industry? Because they tend to be the ones that greatly reduce their poverty and are able to spend on infrastructure investments such as bridges.
