I signed up for bluesky because I thought it would be like Twitter was in the beginning: breaking and accurate news, scientific and artistic discovery, playful banter, etc. Unfortunately all the mainstream news is fluff and propoganda and engagement is non-existent. Rethinking occupying this space.
gmail privacy shouldn't even be a concern given the sheer size and reach of the company behind it. Our safety and privacy should be their number one concern but it's not, it's their own profits. I never use gmail and only have an account because android requires it.

I love the way if you turn off AI in Gmail, it removes your tabs along the top and dumps everything into the main inbox instead, even though those predated AI by years.

Betteridge law of journalism. Any title that poses a question can be answered no. It doesn’t serve to reinforce how crazy 50 year mortgage is. It normalizes the 50 year mortgage by relating it to the 30 year mortgage. If you think it’s a good article, then you’ve been had.
