Minority party cannot magically fix what the majority party breaks. We have to give the democratic elected officials tools, i.e. obtain majority at midterm, if we want to restore checks and balances, and hopefully get out of the current existential crisis caused by the republicans.
The current funding is a pitiful drop in the $183 mil per month ICE *already* is guaranteed through 2029. Republicans are banking on you not knowing that.
