So I'm writing a screenplay for a mini-series. It's a time travel romance, ancient teen time traveler (he/him) meets high school marching band saxophonist (she/her) with attitude. There are also villains. Here's a song I wrote as part of the story:

I know hardly anyone sees these journal-posts, but as a writer, what else would I do? Anyway, episode 7 is almost done. Hitting 'dark night of the soul' hard. The voice cast has, amazingly, hung with me during the delay. The storyboard artist got a real job, so she's gone. But life goes on. Sigh.

The part of your brain the creates and the part of your brain that edits are different. When you edit while writing, you switch your mode of thinking and can gum up the works, so to speak, knocking yourself out of your groove. Correct obvious mistakes, but knock out your pages and edit them after.

Not to be controversial, but watching through Night Gallery & sooo disappointed. Rod Serling, right? Me expecting Twilight Zone brilliance & it just isn't happening. A few OK shows, but most really feel 'phoned in.' Ugh. Finishing anyway, just so I can say I did.

So, the @Washington post tried to stop the world from seeing a political cartoon critical of its owner, and as a result, they’ve lost tons of subscribers, the incredible cartoonist who drew it quit, and it’s created such an uproar, that WAY more people saw it than otherwise would have.
