And more from Indivisible including corporation pushback that MN is asking for (it's been actions all week, in fact)
ICE Out for Good
On January 23, people across the country are taking action in solidarity with Minnesota to demand ICE out of our communities. Join the day of action.

You don’t get to bomb people and then sell the rubble back as a real estate opportunity.
Dystopian — the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner lays out the real estate deal where Trump and his friends will profit from the destruction of Gaza, where people continue to die from Israeli bombs (supplied by 🇺🇸) to this day.

While pretending it’s all for the people of Gaza.

Thirty-one known defendants have been charged in Chicago with non-immigration crimes tied to “Operation Midway Blitz.”

With today’s acquittal, 15 of them have been cleared.

No one has been convicted.
#BREAKING: Federal jury finds Chicago man NOT GUILTY of offering $10K for the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Cmdr. Gregory Bovino.

Civil wars typically begin not with formal declarations, but with the erosion of legal authority over the use of force. This looks more like state power being used without transparency or accountability.
There is a horde of people wearing military gear, bearing military weapons, and wearing masks to obscure their identity who are invading US cities, breaking down doors and car windows and assaulting and kidnapping U.S. citizens.

Has the 2nd Civil War already started, and just not been declared?

S1.2 trillion now to senate
VERY UPSETTING
House passes sprawling spending package as Democrats split over ICE funding
The House voted separately on DHS funding and another package of bills to avoid a partial shutdown and repeal a law that allows certain GOP senators to sue DOJ for $500,000.

Any country that hollows out its institutions eventually hollows out its freedoms.
When our military is compromised

Intelligence compromised.

Health compromised

Education compromised

The Justice system compromised

When we lose our moral standing and place of excellence in the 🌎

Truth & liberty are scarce
And freedom is a memory

Will they know they never owned the libs?

If laws only apply when police feel like enforcing them, then “rule of law” is just branding.
it does feel fundamentally dysfunctional, right, to beg lawmakers to use the law to force law enforcement to obey the law

Given the timing, we consider this to be targeted harassment as punishment for exercising our First Amendment rights.

We're still handing out free whistles. And we just got in hundreds of new yard signs.

Keep resisting, Minnesota. We love you.

Calling this a “training problem” feels like deliberate misdirection. A decade of experience means this’s about culture, accountability and power…not a lack of instruction.
This is so goddamned infuriating. Jonathan Ross, an ICE agent who just MURDERED SOMEONE, is a TEN YEAR veteran of both ICE and the US Military. This is not a training problem, but Schumer is saying it is because he's a Democrat, the party of people who want everything to be solved by someone else!
MS NOW: Why haven't you gotten a dozen Dem senators & NYC cops, flown to Minneapolis & said to the guys wearing masks 'We've brought people who know how to operate'

SCHUMER: You're right. We need police officers to tell ICE, 'You don't know what the hell you're doing. You need real police training'

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much of life happens in the in-between moments. Not the big decisions or loud events but the quiet pauses where you realize you’re changing..even if you can’t quite explain how.

Not every meaningful exchange needs intensity or conflict. Sometimes it’s simply two people acknowledging each other and sharing a moment of trust and moving forward a lil more steady than before.

It’s strange how one small anomaly can change how a familiar place feels. A quiet view stays peaceful until something out of place appears and suddenly your brain starts filling gaps. Usually it’s nothing but the reaction says a lot about how we’re wired.

CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.
