That’s lovely. Middle grade doesn’t get enough credit for how emotionally precise it can be.

The scariest part isn’t that this idea exists, it’s that it’s being treated as reasonable governance instead of the prejudice it’s always been.

Experience didn’t prevent this.. it enabled it. Framing it as a training issue avoids the harder conversation about institutional violence and accountability.

That would def catch my eye too. It’s prolly something mundane but it’s strange how small, out-of-place details can shift how a familiar place feels..our brains are really good at pattern-spotting..sometimes a lil too good lol
