By the way, for those of you not in MN: Homan’s strategy was to withdraw some agents, so it felt like we were in the denouement of the crisis, and then escalate hard against observers. They’re being incredibly aggressive with observers now. National media may not want to check out just yet

🚨BREAKING: Republicans are moving quickly to pass a bill requiring voters to show proof of citizenship both to register and at the polls ahead of the 2026 midterm elections — a move that experts warn could disenfranchise millions of Americans. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
GOP fast tracks monster voter suppression bill that could disenfranchise millions by requiring proof of citizenship at polls
In the past few weeks, passing the legislation has been a unifying rally cry for Republicans, a welcome distraction from the party’s cratering public opinion polls.

No Kings 3 - March 28. We've heard the concerns and questions. Let's be clear: one protest alone won't save democracy, but a movement of people that refuse to back down will.

Follow us for what you can do every week between now and the national action.

👀Now that ICE/DHS are planning to buy ‘mega’ warehouse detention centers across the US to house human beings you might want to listen to this gentleman’s history lesson that he delivered at a city council meeting in AZ. Congress needs to have hearings on this like yesterday.

🚨Also told us no more money for people who suffer food insecurity, millions kicked off SNAP.
But there's money for a new golden ballroom! A new Kennedy center, money for dozens upon dozens of new warehouses for more concentration camps!
They told us there was no money for healthcare.
No money for kids.
No money for families drowning in medical bills.

But there’s always money for ICE. More cages. More raids. More cruelty.

That’s not a budget problem. That’s a values problem.

Fund care, not punishment.

A new poll finds that 1 in 4 Minnesota voters took part in the Jan 23 shutdown against ICE, or have a loved one who did. Of those, 38% DID NOT WORK, either because they made the choice to stay out, or their workplaces closed. By me, @thomasbirm.bsky.social, @bloomekatz.bsky.social

There is 0.0% chance that we will be fooled by a bs compromise in the senate on DHS funding. Package it, put a bow on it, try to sell it however you want. Not gonna work. If you aren’t sure about that, spend more time in your states with constituents.

Apparently our electricity bills are going through the roof and this is partly related to data centers that hog huge amounts of electricity to generate information. I, for one, feel hopping mad about this. The companies that are using the data centers should bear the cost.

So I just learned that Enterprise is renting vehicles to ICE. I infer ICE has a contract with Enterprise. I hope that you will consider that, regardless how competitive Enterprise charges might be, when you next rent a cat. Personally, hell will freeze over before I next use Enterprise.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

When COVID hit businesses knew the workforce mattered, but instead of protecting workers, they pushed DJT to force people back and downplay the danger.
Workers are “essential” only as long as they keep the economy running pull them out, and the economy bleeds.

So an economy strike is effective.
