I think I'm going to have to give up on standard for the foreseeable future because of the constant new sets rotating in. I don't have a pod of people that I can consistently play with, so commander is out. I don't want to go back to MTGO because the interface is so bad. kitchen table it is for now.

middle millennials somehow became generation tech support because we hit the perfect point where tech was easy enough for us to figure out but still required fiddling with to make it do what we wanted. earlier and it's all ugly fiddling, later and it's all easy UX/UI with no flexibility.

good to know that the dev team and the ban team from magic have their heads up different asses instead of the same one. too many sets in too short a time frame with too little playtesting and an actively harmful bias towards power creep.

I've never understood people who work with data who can't wrap their heads around pivot tables.
I was offered a job on the basis that during the interview task, I was the only one who knew what a pivot table was. I don't know who was supposed to get that job but it wasn't me, I'd never heard of a pivot table. Before I started I learnt what one was and never used one since.
