Made this Wild Green Memes Feed, there is a void in my heart after leaving Facebook 😅 It may still need some tweaking, and doesn’t appear to pick up on reposts or quote posts 🤔 #wildgreenmemes

Yessss!
Great news as judge rules that nih grants that were abruptly axed should be reinstated. Judge said “If putting these words together, DEI, is somehow offensive ... does that mean [the government’s] policy is homogeneity, inequity, and exclusion” 🧪
Judge rules against NIH grant cuts — and calls them discriminatory
The decision means that the US biomedical agency has to restore funding to hundreds of research projects, but the government will likely appeal.

Having read the full MAHA report, what stands out the most to me, as an epidemiologist, is how inexplicably sloppy it is.

The US government collects data on every health condition you can think of, and the report doesn’t use any of it.

Guess who just finished their MPH program (after taking a risk and quitting their former career to do so) and is now looking for entry-level epi jobs during what is probably the worst time for public health ever 🫠

The only way to prevent long COVID is to avoid getting COVID.

This is the message public health should be delivering to the masses.

It’s dreadfully unfair that they’ve allowed a novel virus to go unmitigated, creating a mass disabling event where each infection is a dice roll with disability

Vaccines don’t cause autism.
Neither do random “toxic chemicals” that RFK Jr, David Geier, and others claim.

The biggest predictor of autism?
GENETICS.

We have millions of data points across decades that show this.

Know what actually destroys families?

Children dying of vaccine preventable diseases.

Right, but I was using Google Maps once and it alerted to a speed trap. So I think if something is reported in Waze it will also alert on Google Maps, so it reaches more people that way (good) www.techradar.com/computing/so...
Google Maps is getting new Waze incident alerts, but not all drivers are happy
Is Google Maps becoming too Waze-like for some?

And Waze is connected with Google now, right? So anyone using that would also hear the alert I assume.

I love horseshoe crabs
Horseshoe crabs aren't actually crabs!? 🤯

Despite their name, these prehistoric arthropods are more closely related to spiders and scorpions than true crabs. They are also an invaluable research organism. 🦀

Here’s the thing: the virus didn’t go away.
The messaging did.
We're not post-pandemic. We're post-accountability. The public’s been gaslit into thinking caution is “paranoia” and illness is “normal.”

Explain to me why encroaching on the second amendment is not allowed even when children’s lives are at stake but the first amendment is easily eroded when someone simply disagrees with our President.

Long COVID is real. It’s common. It’s disabling millions.
And no one talks about it—because if we looked too closely, we’d have to change

So instead, we decided:
Let people get sick.
Let kids struggle.
Let the vulnerable disappear.
Let the numbers stop counting.
