Here for building an economy that works for everyone. views are my own and correct.
What’s cool is that we have all the culture and love and the other side just has bitterness & kid rock
I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them
What a moment.

Donald Trump is:

- Openly racist
- Covering up evidence he may have sexually abused children
- Directly responsible for the murder of US citizens by masked agents of the state
- Openly looting the treasury and taking bribes from foreign leaders
- Polling at 38% amongst the American people

1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

Billionaires vs everyone else
The billionaire class wants to decimate the white collar workforce. Because white collar workers are expensive. And because white collar workers—who historically sided with billionaires—are questioning that alliance. Which makes their knowledge and resources a huge threat to billionaire power.

Using the demeanor of a rich guy stealing your parking space in a grocery store parking lot after golfing, Bessent admits Trump is extorting the American people for $10 billion.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent admits that if Trump successfully sues the IRS for $10 billion, that money would come from taxpayers.

ICE detained multiple kids (all under the age of 10!) in the last week alone. Still kidnapping people based solely on the way they look. Still arresting parents at school pick up.

Nothing has changed in Minnesota. Nice words from the Admin won’t change that. ICE leaving will.

I spent a lot of time following gun rights activists at the state level when I was lobbying for gun safety legislation at Everytown & their argument was always having guns protected them from government tyranny and overreach...and yet..here we are...
Jeanine Pirro declared on Fox that if anyone brings "a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law-abiding gun owner somewhere else."

Can someone please invite them to my backyard where the resident rabbits are now stripping the bark from trees we planted when each one of my kids was born?
It's so cold in Boston right now that packs of coyotes are able to cross the water today.

I dunno, arresting journalists (including journalist Georgia Fort) doesn't SEEM like Trump is 'deescalating.'
This is a direct assault on the First Amendment by the Trump administration www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/u...

While the president screams nonsense about a "Democrat hoax", one thing is for sure - more tax cuts for billionaires who don't need them and billions of dollars for ICE to terrorize our communities is not helping American families pay for education, housing or healthcare.

I had the incredibly lucky opportunity to have @peggyflanagan.bsky.social as my trainer for non-profit leaders at the Mgmt Center when I worked on gun violence prevention, & the amount of joy & care she brought is something that still sticks with me. The Senate would be better w/ her in it.
For decades, @janefonda.com has been on the front lines of the progressive movement.

She's led the fight for peace, for equal rights, and against the climate crisis. I'm truly honored to have earned @janeclimatepac.bsky.social’s support for my campaign for US Senate.

Bobby is right: It’s not enough for Dems to just vote against new ICE funding. They should commit to taking away the slush fund.
Lifting this up again. A huge problem now is that there’s a giant slush fund for ICE & CBP separate from annual funding — that Trump can continue to use even during a shutdown.

Ds *must* make rescinding those pots of money the price of any future funding deals, as Rs did w/ IRS money from the IRA.
In 2022 we gave the IRS $80 bn. When Rs took the House they made rescinding that $$ the price of funding the govt. In each funding bill enacted since, large chunks of that were pared back

Ds should do that for the ICE money from OBBBA. Paring back that $$ must be a prerequisite for funding the govt

Russ Vought is demanding 14 blue states and DC give a bunch of data on a lot of funds — funds the government is legally required to administer.

We should assume more targeting of blue states in illegally withholding federal funding, hurting Americans by denying assistance.

It’s the latest step in the administration’s long-standing effort to choke off funding for states that have opposed the president.
