Taking food from the hungry and healthcare from the sick are deliberate and sadistic acts of inflicting pain, suffering and shortening lives – en masse.

And sadism never exists in isolation, it's always accompanied by psychopathy-sociopathy (ASPD).

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

USCCB still doesn't get it. You can't have it both ways. You're either for christofascism or against it.

"Sickening perversion" sums up the current administration.
In my youth, we were inspired by our govt to serve, to volunteer, to help our fellow man around the world. We were inspired by JFK, the Peace Corps, USAID, then later Americares. To have that instilled in us, then watch it being destroyed by the richest men in the world is a sickening perversion.

America destroyed itself due to greed and racism. It tracks. The two original sins the country was unable or unwilling to ever confront and conquer.

For years conservatives and some liberals complained incessantly about ‘cancel culture’ and the lack of ‘free speech’ on campuses. None of that stuff comes even close to what the right is now doing in power, in terms of the open bullying and pressuring of colleges and censoring of curricula.

Tough day. Customers in tears. DOGE fired a household member or cut off funding of construction projects that led to layoffs.

No income.

Businesses will close.
Food pantries will be busier than ever.

Sticking with my #union

PS I'm retired and I paid for a lifetime retiree membership to support the union that supported me.
