I have a student on rotation with me which means teaching on pressors - I always love going *why* the different pressors have different receptor effects and thus clinical effects rather than just spitting out the facts

Gives me an excuse to remind my students why we learn med chem as pharmacists!

Only thing I miss about plum pumps is the back prime function. Meanwhile, the smallest tiniest air bubble in the propofol line using an Alaris pump was my 13th reason last night 💀

Countless flight delays, one cancelled American flight (next available not until Sunday PM), five different states, a $300 Uber to another airport at 11 PM, more delays, a missed connection by literally 60 seconds, the last seat on a standby flight, and 31 hours without sleep… we’re from SAEM.

When AC is needed in acute cerebrovascular dz, heparin is usually chosen for its reversibility. Doses are often low-balled for safety, but does this come at a cost?

Fast AC is needed in CSVT, and we saw that time to therapeutic PTT/AXa can >24h with low-intensity dosing!

You've probably heard that Bicarbonate has to turn into CO2 to raise the pH.

“Don’t give bicarb if you can’t increase ventilation.” But why?!

How much CO2 is there in an amp of sodium bicarbonate? Hos much does it raise pH? And how long does it last?
