A went to a birthday party on Saturday and ate all the carbs. The family was amazing - kept food packaging for her so she could calculate her dose accurately. Those little things help so much. But yeah her pod ran out of insulin ten hours early so we've just done a quick change 🤣 #T1D

Just had my annual mammogram (very strong family history of breast cancer so it's yearly for me). It seems okay and it's done for another year. It's not pleasant but it's necessary. I was anxious about it this year but it's better to know than not.

It's Diabetes Awareness Month! And yes, we are indeed very aware in our house. A's English teacher contacted me today to check that he could give her a mini pack of Haribo as a prize - YES! They are a perfect hypo treatment, or she can just take enough insulin to cover it! #T1D

There was a disappointing turn out for trick or treaters last night - maybe being the start of the Bavarian school holidays a lot of families went away? I'm left with loads of mini packs of Haribo... On the bright side I won't need to buy hypo treats for A for a while...

I usually get our pumpkins from the roadside stand just outside town... But had very little time so headed to Rewe spent 2,07€ on these two Hokkaido red pumpkins (99c per kilo! Bargain!) and the girls carved them.
