And then refuse to pay fair taxes so people feel the public bucket of money is too small. Like, please. I want my taxes to help others.

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day whose Mum has very conservative views (she's Irish). Her way around those conversations about "these people taking our taxes" is to ask "would you want to switch lives with them?" If not... Then maybe have some empathy and give them a hand up...

What gets me is that many of the people eligible for it are already working, but their employer doesn't have to pay them a living wage. It's sick. The rhetoric about people on benefits being lazy is patently untrue. Apparently SNAP keeps a lot of small grocers afloat so what happens when they fold?

I'm a high school teacher and mother of teens. Guess where I stand on this? I don't like body sprays - it should be as innocuous a scent as possible. I know some people don't sweat a lot but certainly most people I spend my days with do.

Not just citizens - I'm a resident and use this ticket 😊 It's cheaper than the monthly pass for the inner city area used to be, and it costs less than it does to fill the car with petrol. My Mum visited when it was 9€ per month and it was excellent. We can even get to Salzburg on it from Munich!

I think under the new rules only B1 is needed if you have been here a while. So I could just produce the B1 certificate I got at the end of my Integrationskurs. I'm working towards C1 at the moment so if they need anything more than that it should be okay.

I started when they changed the law so I don't have to give up my AU citizenship. Submitted it September last year and was told it could take more than 18 months and not to contact them about it. So, we wait...

I have to contact the KVR - I need to renew my AU passport and of course that will mean renewing my Aufenthaltstitel early next year... But I hope my citizenship will come through before that becomes necessary. Not holding my breath...

I like to think me not being there today has ruined it... But I'm a high school teacher so I suspect I have made my seniors' day as they don't get a sub... (They are expected to do the task I set them but they can do it in their own time.)
