Community journalist and artist living on M’nidoo M’nissing (Spirit Island). Writing about eco-justice, my decolonial journey, relationship anarchy and neurodivergence, for funsies. Shitposter extraordinaire.
Haven’t been here for awhile. Anyway, things have been weird and my set is being even weirder.

This is pretty surrealist. About 10 hours in. It will likely be 50-60 hrs total.

I think all artists feel insecure about our work. Here it is all the same.

Watching POSE for the 100th time & bawling my eyes out for the 100th I was born in ‘81 and some the adults in my life had to fight theses battles for 2SLGTBQIa+ rights. Within a single generation, these hard won rights are being erased again.

Rewatching this series hits different right now.

I’m back at it!

One of my favourite things to do is to make massive quantities of soup and share it with coworkers and community members. There are a few reasons for doing this.

1.) Soup is love. 2.) Community building 3.) I get soup!

Benita Long disappeared. So why wasn't she added to this missing person database?

I talk about this often when I speak on Relationship Anarchy as means of creating circles of care to reduce dependency on the state. I also hold that RA means the dissolution of hierarchies with our more than human kin.

It's all about relationship with our non-human relatives. That's not just me being poetic or woowoo, every living thing on this planet evolved from a common ancestor, hence we are all related. If we remember that and work with the biological structures and systems in place we can all thrive.

Banning Starlink across Canada is imperative for our national security. Musk sold Starlink as a boon to people in the remote northern communities to give them access to the Internet. @charlieangus104.bsky.social Putin wants access to our North. Talk about an open invitation to let Russian spys in.

MSM #CDNMediaFailed

The problem is particularly acute in the anglophone MSM (due to be owned by conservatives and/or foreign interests).

Look for small / indie comms and if your language skills allow it, francophone media, including Radio-Can.

As the Conservatives blow a 30-point lead in the polls, we remind you that Canada’s mainstream media still chooses not to fact-check Pierre Poilievre.

“Poilievre has benefitted immensely from legacy media’s inability to challenge conservative bullies.”
