Regardless, it doesn’t not matter. People have a right to defend themselves from invading forces. Especially those who are invading in the name of extractive capitalism. Period.

It is absolute bullshit, for sure. That said, it’s a complex mechanism that underpins almost all oppression that we see in the world today. So it bears understanding its root, its goals and its praxis if we are going to meaningfully organize and resist.
