The last day on which a majority of the Supreme Court’s justices had been appointed by Democratic presidents was May 14, 1969.

In 48 other states, new moms have access to Medicaid for up to one year after they give birth. Not in Wisconsin.

There, the limit remains two months. And it’s only because of one man: Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

The Department of Education is parceling off its main offices and giving their responsibilities to other federal agencies.

Much of the funding for K-12 and colleges is being handed over to—wait for it—the Department of LABOR.

Because what else is education good for apart from producing workers?😞

A man charged with assaulting an officer during Trump's show-of-force in D.C. has asked a judge to throw out the case because prosecutors waited too long to bring him to trial, part of "a pattern of gross neglect of the government’s legal and constitutional obligations."

The federal court that struck down Texas' redistricting plan says the letter from a Trump DOJ appointee that kicked off the whole thing is "challenging to unpack the DOJ Letter because it contains so many factual, legal, and typographical errors. "

lmao. reading the opinion on the Texas gerrymander, the court, reasonably, ruled that (a) the Trump admin had sent Texas a letter demanding that it dismantle districts based entirely on their racial makeup; (b) that Texas acknowledged this as their motivation when they did this; (c) this is racist.

NEW: Court blocks Texas's mid-decade redistricting, finding it likely unconstitutional, with DOJ largely to blame.

"DOJ Asked Texas to Engage in Unlawful Racial Gerrymandering," Judge Jeffrey Brown, a Trump appointee, wrote for the 2-1 majority. Texas is appealing to the Supreme Court.

I'm convinced Trump is now saying release the files but isn't because he's waiting for the vote knowing he has the vote block necessary to stop it.

I very strongly stand by my position that any politician with a felony should not be allowed to run, nor hold, office. If they are convicted while they are in office, it should immediately disqualify them from holding current AND future office, AND they should be ousted immediately.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.

Julie nails the problem here. The press lets him get away with this shit all the time, showing zero support for each other. It's what has allowed him and the White House to just lie and insult people with impunity. Shame on all of them. This is absurd.
I just watched the whole video, and not a single reporter stood up for her. Everyone just pivoted to asking questions on other topics.

This is shameful.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'
