NEW: In a challenge to the Trump Admin’s weaponization of gov, the court ordered the government to report to it if the IRS receives a request for info from DHS/ICE or makes plans to share more data with DHS/ICE. A great first step as we await decision by the court. Congrats @democracyforward.org

I've seen people who explicitly noted keeping courts open was a reason to avoid shutdown in March who've ignored that now.

Literally hours after CR passed, having courts open started to save lives of 230 Venezuelan men sent to a concentration camp & created one of biggest political Trump headaches
still a good idea to do this!

might also want to think about whether:

1) you prefer no shutdown plus full Medicaid subsidies restored to shutdown

2) you prefer no shutdown plus one year of Medicaid subsidies restored to shutdown
gonna need everyone on this website to preregister their takes on whether a government shutdown is an affirmative good or no

Rep. Massie dropped a bomb: Billionaire John Paulson, top GOP donor, bankroller of the Speaker, and Trump’s campaign, is in Epstein’s black book.

This is why they’re terrified of a full release.
The truth won’t just expose Epstein.
It will expose the powerful who enabled him.

RFK Jr. rolled out that old chestnut again about how healthy Americans were in the 60’s, so here’s a fact check.

In 1965:

-42% of American adults smoked; it’s 11% now.

-The infant morality rate was 24.7/1000; it’s 5.6/1000 now.

-Overall life expectancy was 70 years; it's about 77 years now.

Kavanaugh's statements make the problem worse, not better. If the reason SCOTUS is using cryptic shadow docket orders is because "five" of them can't "reach a consensus or a compromise on a particular issue that might be difficult," then that order should not be precedential —there's no majority.
Brett Kavanaugh says there’s a good reason Supreme Court rulings can sometimes be so cryptic
In remarks to a judicial conference, Kavanaugh also defended Chief Justice John Roberts.
