South Bend region (incl Elkhart Goshen etc) should really be on CST tbh, it’s not part of the Chicago area like Northwest Indiana is but I still feel like enough people travel back and forth for flights, business etc that it would still be helpful to not have a random time change part of the way in

people treating the flare-up between thailand and cambodia as some joke ("who do I root for") is really really pissing me off in a way shit on the internet rarely does anymore. fym "root for" this isn't a game, fuck you.

Interesting Khmer lesson today where I told neak kru about the time my first apartment in Ann Arbro got broken into and explained to her what the pre-4th of July “firework or gunshot” game is

Given the way this series has started already, Indianapolis si gonna be a zoo on Sunday. Thousands of hicks already liquored up from the race packing into Gainbridge ready to watch a rematch of one of the NBA’s nastiest rivalries. Good luck.
Pacers in the conference finals means that for the second year in a row a playoff home game with a Finals berth on the line will be happening on the same day as the Indy 500

Idk if it’s just bc I’m noticing them more lately but Teslas with anti-Elon stickers seem to be increasingly common around Ann Arbor

This is obviously thinly-veiled racism. But it’s also a bullshit premise. Haitian refugees were thriving in Springfield. Bhutanese, Congolese, other refugees from Africa & Asia have reinvigorated Rust Belt towns and cities. Trump wants to send them all back.
Q: There are many people who fit the criteria of fleeing persecution. Afghans for example. But they're being denied refugee status. So why such an exception for the Afrikaners?

TRUMP ADMIN OFFICIAL: One of the criteria is making sure they can be assimilated easily into our country

I am grateful my team made me feel things again this season.

I'm also grateful we still have this man at the helm. You've seen lots of programs try to replace their legends to pretty varied results.

Thanks to everyone on the team for this season, but especially Jaden and Jase.

trying to start a thesis chapter and getting bogged down at the introduction again
figuring out why and I think it's bc introductions just feel aimless...once I'm writing with a purpose, making an argument, citing sources etc I can get into a flow state easily but that doesn't work w intros. agh!

What's being done the federal government by Trump and Musk requires a response approaching what we saw in South Korea this past December, with lawmakers standing in total defiance to illegal actions by the executive. Instead Democrats are twiddling their thumbs.
i cannot stress enough that at the very least everyone in leadership needs to go. all of them. probably most electeds over 70 too. primary them all. while we're at it can we just drop the entirety of the ny dem party on a deserted island
