Campaigning for fair & equal votes in the UK. An affiliated organisation of the Liberal Democrats - the party leading the fight for PR for decades, but now with 72 MPs! We also work proactively cross-party & with like-minded others to deliver change.

Great to see the momentum behind changing the voting system - and we are proud to see Lib Dem MP Lisa Smart working hard with other allies and cross-party to achieve fair votes!

Only with fair votes can we resolve the UK's long-term issues instead of the next government undoing it all.
We are working with our allies including @makevotesmatter.bsky.social to fight for a politics that works for everyone. No more wasted votes. No more tactical voting.

72.8% agreed: democracy must be defended at all costs. But many weren't happy with the way it currently works.

"Change the voting system" was proposed as one of the solutions. We agree.

The Dutch election proved what we've been saying for ages: that PR voting systems tame extremist parties and expose them.

FPTP in Britain has delivered Reform's agenda without them needing to get anywhere near Number 10.

Excited to continue the work that @sarahjolney1 has already done in her role. It's time for progress on issues such as votes at 16, voter ID & wider electoral reform.

We will keep supporting @eddavey.libdems.org.uk and @libdems.org.uk in the fight for fair votes, including working with our allies and cross-party - First Past The Post has got to go!
Keir Starmer needs to wake up and fix our broken voting system before the next election, or he risks letting Nigel Farage into Number 10.

Inside and outside of Parliament, there's a growing cross-party consensus: our voting system is not working.

It's time to scrap it. 🚮

We deserve better than governments that 2/3 of the public voted against, or MPs that 3/4 of their constituents didn't choose.

We deserve better than to be ignored over and over again, because of where we live or who we support.

We all deserve better than First Past the Post.

We're hearing it in Caerphilly today. We've heard it a million times before.

Under PR, we could just vote for whoever we support - and every vote would count. Sounds better, doesn't it?

In countries using proportional representation, parties are incentivised to work together collaboratively. They keep the 80% that works and try to fix the 20% that doesn't.

With FPTP, parties scrap it altogether and take years to implement a new process with lots of flaws.
