For years people said it was a gross exaggeration to label Nazism and its associated viewpoints within the modern conservative movement and especially online. Now Nazis are openly thriving and their rhetoric is impossible to avoid and many of the people who downplayed it are saying nothing at all

Toronto Blue Jays summer
Being a leafs fan is a weird watching experience. Largest fanbase in the NHL but we don’t get our own commentators so the rest of Canada doesn’t cry about us. And the American feed is also naturally trash talking the Leafs too. So now I watch playoffs games on mute with Leafs Radio commentators 🤷🏾♂️

All the media outlets treating Trump's threats to annex Canada like a fun thought experiment is a great example of my belief that many people covering politics think politics are a sport where every outcome is just a different jersey, rather than serious issues that affect real people.
