Look, there's a lot of reasons to prefer Mamdani over Cuomo. But the most egregious "3" moments to me are every time he talks about breakfast sandwiches. Biggest poser tell imagineable. He always says the name in the wrong structure and now he's "I'll have what he's having" Silwa's order.

So I know the working theory is that he had a stroke, based on the visual cues and the drugs he's on, but I would also like to enter into evidence that I believe he's also had a noticeable personality shift around the same time as the symptoms started showing. (1/?)

There are extremists on both sides is one of the most insane lies that has taken root as fact in American politics as a result of our defacto "both sides"-ism. Only 1 extremist side is calling for the purge of minority groups and participating in extrajudicial executions. It's not the same picture.

It sucks that Miura is dead, but honestly, knowing functionally nothing about him, I feel like he would have fucking hated generative AI, so at least he didn't have to see that shit. Maybe he wouldn't have, but a guy whos ethos was to be human is to struggle and was a known perfectionist...

Something that I think I'm always grappling with is that getting older routinely results in me feeling like I'm getting dumber. I'm not certain if it's the Dunning-Kruger effect in real time or if being outside of an academic environment has dulled me, but man. The world is so endless.

Wasn't planning on it anyway since my 8P is still going strong, but after that abysmal Made by Pixel show, I can safely say my next phone isn't going to be one. Aside from how corny it was, the one pony they had to show was generative AI which... No thanks. I know all phones are pushing it, I (1/2)
