Well, there’s your mistake. Trump is not your friend, and deals with Trump are meaningless because he will tear them up or ignore them whenever it suits him. Kinda like he does with our laws and Constitution.

One point I’ve been banging on about in interviews the last few weeks is that the mere threat of the use of force by the U.S. President is illegal both under Article 2(4) of the UN Charter but also the U.S. Constitution by virtue of the Take Care Clause.

Good point. Trump has convinced his cult that he is “America First.” He is Trump First - and that means seeking out corrupt leaders around the world to do business with who run the kind of oligarchic regimes that he envies. Nothing he does overseas benefits average Americans.

So basically Trump’s argument is that he only bothered talking about how much he supposedly wanted peace and performed substance-free publicity stunts to win a prize, but since that didn’t fool anyone he’s not going to bother with that charade anymore and will just invade Europe.
